A New Creative Adventure: My Lo-Fi Relaxation YouTube Channel 🎧🐱

Today, during my teacher workday, I stumbled onto a brand-new idea. While setting up my Classroomscreen through classroomscreen.com (a great resource for teachers), I discovered that I could embed videos and lock them to the background.

My first thought was: How great would it be to have my own channel full of videos that teachers like me could use—videos that promote mindfulness, encourage relaxation, and create a classroom climate conducive to studying?

That’s when the idea for my new YouTube channel, @re-Luxation, was born.

I couldn’t wait to get home from work to start figuring it all out. It took a little trial and error (and it isn’t perfect yet), but I’m already excited to see what else I can create.

Why I Started

As a middle school teacher, I’m always hunting for ad-free versions of relaxation videos. I don’t mind an ad at the start, but with the free YouTube versions, ads usually pop up throughout—which completely breaks the classroom calm.

By creating my own videos, I can:

• Guarantee no excess ads or interruptions

• Ensure every video is 100% kid-safe

My very first Lo-Fi relaxation video is now officially on YouTube—a peaceful study session in the forest with a sweet little kitten.

It’s soft, instrumental, and distraction-free, designed for:

• Classrooms

• Studying

• Homework time

🎯 Why Kid-Friendly Lo-Fi?

As a teacher and creator, I wanted music I could confidently play in the classroom—safe, gentle, and engaging without pulling focus away from learning.

Every re-Luxation video will be:

• Instrumental only – no lyrics to distract from studying or reading

• Gentle & calm – no sudden loud noises or jump scares

• Ad-free except for YouTube’s intro ad – so the mood stays peaceful from start to finish

  
  

💡 What’s Next for re-Luxation?

I just had this idea today, but my head is already spinning with possibilities:

• Different themed study environments (cozy rooms, rainy days, magical forests)

• Seasonal Lo-Fi – fall-themed vibes with crunchy leaves, cozy sweaters, and warm tones

• Holiday Lo-Fi – gentle festive lights, snow scenes, and soft seasonal music

• Sleepy Time Lo-Fi – slower tempos and softer visuals to help you unwind before bed

• Longer uninterrupted mixes for all-day focus

• Livestreams of relaxing music and visuals (once my 24-hour YouTube live setup period is over!)

I’m starting small, learning as I go, and keeping my expectations humble—but I’m excited to see where this new creative path leads.
